    Weather Lore
    is always a sure guide.
"Coe ar Seithe - Coghan lom
An Comhair e sin is fear san"
(Coghan is a hill to the west of this valley. "Seithe" a hill to the north of it.
If the hills appear nearer than they actually are, and far away sounds are heard distinctly it foretells rain.
When ants fly high over a dusty road rain is expected. Smoke ascending straight from a chimney means fine weather. If the fire burns with very bright clear flames and blue lights are seen in it, people expect frosty weather.
