  2. In the yard of Inchidoney house Clonakilty there is a large stone water-front. Long ago although there were Protestants living in this house they gave permission to a certain priest to say Mass in the yard. This font was always full of holy water and as the people went to the Mass they blessed themselves with this water. One time when the priest-hunting was over a steward who detested Catholics and everything relating to their religion came
