People help one another to sow the sgiollans. During the Summer months the potatoes are sprayed, the first spraying takes place about the twentieth of June. the potatoes are dug out in October with horses and plough and then stored in pits.
The names of the potatoes grown in this district are Kerrs pink, Champions, Arran banners, Arran chiefs, Arran consuls, Arran victors, British queens and Epicures.- Collector
