  1. 2. A Quern (Bró)
This quern was found in Kilcolman about a quarter of a mile north of this school where Saint Seargus was living when Saint Patrick came to Ireland in 432 A.D. and where John Sullivan a farmer is living now.
It is made of two circular flat stones about fourteen inches in diameter and about two inches in depth and about half a hundred weight heavy. There are two holes in the upper part, one to hold the handle and the other to put the corn or wheat in.
