    Mass. In making the announcements he mentioned arrangements he was making for the following Sunday.
    The next Sunday found the congregation waiting for the priest. The usual latecomers had arrived, but not the priest.
    While they stood around in groups listening for the sound of the horse hoofs, one of the altar boys whose name was Allen, looked through a window, turned with surprise to the byestanders, and whispered Father Taylor is at the altar saying Mass" It happened to be the exact time for the celebration of Mass. Nobody else could see the priest. Eventually a messenger galloped out from the town and to the waiting congregation he announced "Father Taylor was found dead in his bed this morning.
    The boy who reported having seen the apparition was flogged severely by his teacher who taught school in the Chapel, but notwithstanding the punishment the boy persisted in saying that he had seen Fr Taylor saying Mass.
    The people remarked that on the previous Sunday Fr Taylor spoke of saying Mass on this morning.
