  1. Bread
    The bread long ago was different to the bread we have now-a-days and was much healthier to eat. The bread was made of brown-flour, oatmeal, and rye.
    The flour was mixed with milk, and baked in a bastible. The wheat used be ground into flour by the farmer with two querns. They used also make a potatoe cake. The querns are in some parts of the district yet, but they are not used.
    (They are in Mr Dan Murphy's house Drishanebeg).
