  1. In the farm of a man named Mr Moore stands an ancient yet mysterious stone which is called a Galán. There is an inscription on it which few people in the country can understand.
    A few years ago however an antiquarian chanced to trace it in his map and he came to make enquiries about it. He came to my uncles house to enquire about it and he took him to where it is. This gentleman was able to translate the writing into English and he told my uncle that there was a great battle fought there centuries ago concerning the Faith and this stone was erected there in memory of this event.
