- About half a mile from Waterloo is a place called the Corrigeens. This word means the land of the Rocks. It is said that in the olden times fairies used to live in those rocks.
One time they had a beautiful fairy ball and after the ball the fairy Queen died. They buried her at the Corrigeens, and her grave is to be seen to this day between two huge rocks.
One big rock at the head has Ogham writings on it.- Collector
