- The Stepping Stones are situated about two miles from Blarney on the Glen Road. They are very large stones crossing the river Martin below Ballinnaraha Bridge. Long ago before the Garrycloyne road was made the stepping stones were the only means of crossing with the coffins which were going to Garrycloyne Graveyard.
When the river was flooded the people had to wade through the water. The boreen which led to the graveyard is now covered with grass and is never used.- Collector
