   The Brittle Bench. Height 2'-6". It has about an inch of flint running along the top of it. Much used for lime, roads & almost any work. "It cracks like salt" the old people say & it will not burn with culm because it is too strong & will choke the kiln.
   11.
   The Faracot (Fear an Chot?). Height 5'. The top divides into 3 rows having about three inches of flint between them. This portion is used for making fences & rough buildings. 2' of the bottom is pure limestone
   12.
   Bínsín an Fhear a Chot. It is sometimes called the Fifteen Inch Bench. It has specks of flint on the top. It is much used for kerb-stone & for side walls & street crossings.

   The Pó-lad. Height 19 inches. There are 9" of flint on top of it and when inverted is used as Bottom Bases for tomb-stones
   14.
   The Pier Benches are three in number and are over the Pó-lad {9"14" 12". }They are all used for making piers of gates & such work. The bottom row divides evenly & is then most suitable for covers for sewerage drains, road
   15.
   Bíns-an-Athais. Height 8" and is so named because it cuts most regularly and exactly as required. It has a variety of uses Building stone, lime etc.
   16.
   Bíns na Mínsighe. Height 2'-6" and is used for all purposes. It is so named because the goats sleep on this part of the quarry
   17.
   The Black Three-Foot Bench. Height 3'. A very good stone & is used for all general purposes
   18.
   The Black Benches. over the Black Three Foot are two rows one 15"
