    called the "Gobain", He was bent nearly double with age, and must have been very old. The old man was always smiling. According to his own account, he learned his trade from the "Gobain Saor" himself a great mason who lived in Ireland long ago. His whole topic was of past wars and of great battles in which himself took part, not only in Ireland, but in foreign countries wherever England was engaged in war the "Gobain" was always in the army fighting against her.
    He fought at Fontenoy and Waterloo, with Washington in America and with the Bores in South Africa. He gave such wonderful accounts of the
