    boil marshmallow, and to rub well into the affected places.
    Kidney Trouble:- Barley water was used as a cure for kidney complaints.
    Indigestion:- A brew made from the dandelion was used for stomach complaints.
    Corns:- A leaf of houseleak was applied to cure a corn.
    Thrush:- The breath of a gander for three mornings was a remedy for children suffering from thrush. Another remedy was the breath of a child that had never seen its father.
    Chincough:- To cure this, one was supposed to ask a man riding a white horse for a remedy.
    Sore eyes:- A wash of strong tea was used to cure sore eyes.
    In addition to the old remedies people also paid
