    The lightening killed cattle in the district on each night. On the second night a great flood swept away hundreds of wynds of hay from inches into the river.
    At Allen's bridge (bridge) about five miles to the south the swollen waters of the river Dalla flooded a house and swept away two children who were drowned despite their mother's efforts to save them.
