    That the purest green can there be see beside the bright O'Kale.

    How sweet it is in summer time to stretch upon its slope
    And watch its through the valley deep its winding passage grope
    Towards the mighty dark Blackwater that always loves to hail
    As the only child that it had spoiled - the beautiful O'Kale.

    The people dwelling on its banks are worthy of some praise
    To the weary beggars well are known their hospitable ways
    May the allmighty always keep them so and grant that they may sail
    Through lifes rugged path in the grace of God
    By the banks of the O'Kale.
