  1. There are several local cures for diseases. Pepper is a very good cure for tooth-aches. Soot and salt put in to the sore tooth cures it. Put a live frog into your mouth to cure a tooth-ache. If the seventh generation of blacksmiths makes a nail any person who has the nail will never get a toothache. Boiling of an oak leaf and washing your mouth in the water in which it was boiled is a cure for a tooth-ache. Tobacco is used for curing a pain in the tooth.
