    There are three holy wells in the Kanturk district. One of these is situated in Dromtarriffe; a townland situated about four miles to the south-west of the town of Kanturk. Another one of these holy wells is in the townland called Cullen. This place is situated about ten miles to the west of Kanturk. The other holy well is in Tullylease nine or ten miles to the west of Kanturk. People visit Dromtarriffe well on the sixth of May. They visit Cullen well
