    called because it was a field which the landlords had for holding and auctioning cattle for to get the rent. There is another field called páirch áird. It is called this name because it is a very high field. There is a very large stone in this field and a Sapper's mark can be seen in it. You could seven parishes from this field, namely, Boherbue, Kiskeam, Knocknagree, Gneeveguilla, Cullen, and Millstreet. On a nice clear day you could see the lower lake of Killarney. There is another field called páirch na gamhna. It is so called because it is in this field we keep the calves every year. There is another field called páirch na tíghe. It is called this name because the ruins of old houses can still be seen. These houses were belonged to the Danes. There is a passage at the entrance of these houses. There is another field called páirch mór. It is so called because it is the biggest field in the district. Long ago a man was working in this field. he found a Leprachaun's shoe. He picked it up and put it into his pocket. He went home and forgot all about the shoe. When he went to bed that night he had no peace. Everything was searched and when he got up next morning he found the leprachaun's shoe in his pocket.
