    On red Knocknanaus lies a soul crushing gloom.
    With war mangled corpses awaiting at tomb.
    Where the Gaels gushing blood stained the Puritans sword
    And they fought and expired for the cause they adored.
    Black Kurrough the burner is conqueror now.
    That slayer of priests with his crime on his brow.
    That wavering Panther who joined with the for.
    And left Munster a desert of blood shed and woe.
    The gallant McDonnel lies stiff in his gore.
