- Old CraftsCandle MakingLong ago the people used to make candles out of the fat of cows. They used to render it into tallow and put it into an iron pipe called a mould. They would let it get hard. Then they would take it out in the shape of a candle then it is fit for use. Thats how all the people of the district used to make candles about a hundred years ago.
