    leads to Dromae prebytery and church. There is also a disused road at the back of the creamery leading to Clongeel. There is another disused road leading from Derrygallon crossroads leading through Ballyhoulihan, Derischall and Maul and into Boherbee. Before the Ballyhoulihan road was made there was an old road near Derrygallon school house. There is a little stream at one side of it. There is a graveyard in Kilmeen church yard and funerals had to cross the stream going to the graveyard. A patch of land near the school is called Ath-naglorp which means the ford of corpses because it was this place the funerals crossed the stream.
