    two families meet and discuss money matters. If the man is a land owner, then the girl pays a certain sum of money to be as the people say "married into that farm". Her people go once or twice to see the land, and this whole process is termed match making.
    I have also heard from my grandfather who is now an octogenarian, that about a century ago the marriage ceremony was performed in the houses. Of course there is not a trace of this later custom left now.
