    Con Cremin lived in Tureen formerly called the brown lands.

    load. The load consisted of 24 planks each plank was 6 inches thick, 9 inches wide and 14 ft. long.
    He replied that he himself, could load half of it on his shoulder, without any help. So he loaded the timber on his shoulder and walked through Patrick St., They were so heavy that he wore the soles of his shoes. He then put the 24 planks in the car and shoved it up Patrick's Hill.

    Another day he was going home from Knocknagree Fair and he met a man who had a load of apples and the horse was capsized into a ditch at Mt. [?] and six men were trying to release him. He caught the hind shafts and horse and car were pulled into the middle of the road. This ditch is still to be seen.
    Con Cremin was a farmer in the Crown lands. His son is married in Lacka.
