    In the year 1904 a great story swept over the district.

    In the year 1904 a great storm swept over the district. The front wall of Thady Connells house was knocked down.
    A shed was swept from Denis Breen.
    In the year 1842 a great snow-storm occurred causing the deaths of numbers of sheep (20th May)
    It was one of the causes of the famine.
    In the month of August 1839 another great storm occurred. It knocked down all the trees, in the district and scattered all the hay in the neighbourhood of Knocknagree.
