  1. My home district is situated in the townland of Glencollins and in the parish of Ballydesmond and the Barony of Duhallow.
    There are twenty six families living in my townland and about eighty people. Connell is the most common name there. Some of the houses are made of stone and mud and are roofed with slate. There are only two thatched houses in Glencollins. It is supposed that there were a great number of Collins living in our townland long ago and the district contains many glens
