  1. The members of certain families were sometimes looked upon as having power for curing certain deseases.
    It is said that the seventh son, with no daughter in between can cure ring worm, by saying some words over it and that he could kill a worm by making the sign of the cross over it three times for nine successive mornings.
    Any person who never saw his father can cure the Craos Galar in children by breathing into the child's mouth.
    Any son born on Good Friday and Christened on Easter Sunday can cure farcy in horses
