  1. The Blessed Virgin took compassion on a very poor district where the people were very poor. She went to a farmer and his wife who was winnowing corn. When she asked for a few grains of corn the wife said to leave the wind. She asked could she try the chaff. They said she could but there was nothing in it. She found three grains of corn. She took them to the miller and asked him to grind them. When he started to grind, the meal came so plentiful that it filled up all the bags and bens and rooms in the place.
