On this page
- (continued from previous page)It is situated in the townland of Drumcummer in Mr. Ahern's field north of the Mallow-Killarney road and in view of another fort in the same townland. It is circular in shape. There is a fence of earth, around it. There is an entrance hole in the centre. People say a light leave the fort and go into the well near it. A man tried to plough it and the horse broke its leg. The man died three months later.
