    I got the following story from my father. St Fursey is the local Saint of this district. He can recall no church built in honour of the Saint. There was stories told about him but any is not known. There is no connection with the Saint in the district. He had no monastery. It is not known if the Saint did do mericals. There is no place called after Him. There is a Holy Well in Clonmeen in honour of Him
