Fairs are held in Lombardstown Kanturk etc. They are held in Towns. They were held at crossroads long ago. They were never held in hills or such places. There are fair fields in big Towns such as Mallow. Toll is paid on cattle on sold. You should pay toll to the owner of the fair. So much a head is paid on the cattle. Luck is given always. They strike hands to show the agreement. Cattle are marked by paint. Special fairs are held for sheep and horses.
