The parents of each generally met at the girls home. Saturday and Monday were unlucky days for a marriage.
The couple would also look forward to a fine morning. The wedding would take place in the girl's home. In these day six or eight young men would make up a funny dress. There were called straw boys(continues on next page)- Collector
