    to a family from Co. Limerick, the Brownings. These worked the mill until 1865 and lived in King John's Castle. It was next worked by a respectable business man named Mr. Corbett of Buttevant. Then Mr. Walsh worked it for two or three years.
    It was then left idle until taken by Mr. Oliver in 1885 who got the machinery renewed and who introduced the Robinson Roller System instead of the old grinding stones. He brought the mill up-to-date and had it worked partly by steam and partly by turbine water wheels and achieved a trade far exceeding any previous trade in history of Buttevant Mills.
