There was always great excitement and rejoicing at the wedding feast. Friends and neighbours were there in large numbers. Food and drink were there in full and plenty and the old and young made merry. The popular mode of conveyance was the covered car and side car. These formed a huge procession on their way to the guest house after the marriage. The "show-boys" used to be there on great numbers. These were men in funny dress and masked so that no one knew them. They were usually men who came from the other districts and took part in the feasting, singing and dancing and they were made very welcome.
