    Henry VIII, when it was ransacked, demolished and the monks forced to flee. They have never returned and it now lies a decayed structure.
    There are three towers in the district one is Glenanare, one in Rockvale and another at Wallstown. The latter was built by a farmer of the neighbourhood named Mr. John Roche about sixty years ago.
