    there were no motors there that time.
    Some people call at the mountain road because it is near the Ballyhoura mountains. if you were travelling on that road you would come to a place called Uscannien so called ("Usigh Seáinín") because a man was (a man was) buried in a field near it.
    In later years the road was left without repair and the flood tore it all up and there is very little traffic on it now. There is another road called the Cool road and it is called that to distinguish it from other bye roads and there is not much traffic on it. My sister Maureen told me this and she heard it from her father Daniel OKeeffe.
