- Treasure is also supposed to be hidden in a liss on the lands of Mr. John Caplice in Kilclooney, Kildorrery Co. Cork. It is said to have been hidden by the Danes for safety. Many attempts have been made to find it but in vain. Lights have sometimes been seen in this liss and it is said that spirits guard the treasure.
- Some of the older generation say that treasure was hidden in a quarry in Mrs. Noonan's land in Cullenagh, Kildorrery, Co. Cork. This treasure consisted of gold. A few local boys who still live said that they would see for themselves and search for the treasure. So they started to dig down into the earth. As midnight was approaching(continues on next page)
