Near the village there is a mill which was very useful in days gone by. There is a song composed about Rockmills praising its beauty, entitled "The Glens of sweet Rockmills. There is also a song composed about Kildorrery entitled "Famous Kildorrery town".Famous Kildorrery Town.I've been to Crosshaven and Youghal,
Ballybunion, Tramore and Kilkee,
Ballycotton, and likewise Dungarvan,
Those famous resorts by the sea.
For my health I've been travelling through Ireland,
But now I am at last settled down,
Though lacking in wealth,
I've been gaining my health,
Since I came to Kildorrery Town.Chorus
I suppose you all know of Kildorrery,
If you don't, well indeed that is 'quare',
Sure, 'tis only five miles from Ardpatrick,
And three from the Cross of Redchair.
And when at that cross you are landed
