- In the district of Graigue school there are many fairy forts. One is called a "moat" and the other is called a 'fort'.
One is in the lands of Mr Patrick Dwane while the other is in the lands of Mr Patrick Noonan, Cullinagh. Both of these lisses are within view of each other. They are round in shape. High white thorn trees are growing around Dwanes liss, while Noonan's is fenced with furze bushes. - Redmond Roche was a hedge school teacher.
Living in a small thatched house midway between Ballindangan and Glanworth. His daughter also taught. They had a good attendance, they were good to teach, and they were not at all liked by the National Schools.
