    Bridge. Devonshine saluted the officer and asked him was he out for a hunt. He replied that he was. Devinshine then took him to Ryder's brake in Balllinterry They found a fox and they had a great chase. the soldiers returned to Cork that evening well pleased with their day's outing. The Bishop got away safely to Cork disguised as a cattle drover. Here he skipped for France where he dies in 1769.
    Dr. O'Brien was the first Bishop of Cloyne after its separation from Cork diocese.
