  2. St Johns eve falls on the 23rd day of June. People do many a thing on that night which is supposed to keep ill luck from them throughout the year. They throw a lighting bush after every one of the cows which is supposed to keep them from harm. The people here go to the holy well in Glenville to pray in honour of Saint John. Also in every farm
