The Glen of the Oak. It surrounds Glenville on the East and North. It is a slope of land one time covered with oak trees. It is now bare of these save for odd ones.Baile-na-Bighde.
A town land on the northern band of the River Bide-The North Bride.Ins-an' lach
This is situated between two rises of ground which rise very steep on the north, east and west sides. It is so called as it is believed it was a hiding place used by horse thieves to shelter their stolen horses.Toupeen.
A sheltered place at the foot of the mountain used for outlying cattle. It is now in occupation.Árd-roudh.
A high townland almost impossible to leave or enter from southern side, owing to too great a slope, and the southern side was also - lackendarra - the high slope of the oaks.
