  1. (continued from previous page)
To quicken the Revival of the Language I would suggest the following:-

    (1) The Department of Education to prepare Monthly Syllabuses in Irish to be used in all schools in the country. ie. (1) Junior Course (2) Senior Course.
    Junior Course
    1. Conversational Topics
    2 Rhymes etc. and Songs
3 Stories (such as Aesop as a basis)
    4 A Play
5 Poetry of the Province (Names of Pieces)

    Senior Course:
    1 Conversational Topics
    Conversational Grammar
2 Poetry of the Province and Songs
    3 Stories such as Aesop
4 Drama such as An Sprid
    5 Grammar for Higher Standards
    (2)
A set of Provincial Readers to be used in the schools for a period (say 10 years)
This plan would bring uniformity in the teaching of Irish and help to make it the spoken language in a limited time. (Geography, History and Arithmetic Syllabuses to be also issued.
