    Sore throat: Put right stocking round the throat, when going to bed.
    Colds: Take a cup od hot milk and pepper when going to bed, and keep warm.
    Asthma: Get a saucer of brown sugar, put a few snails in it. Given the result to patient.
    Rheumatism: A good blistering of nettles.
    Bronchitis: Burn a bit of cloth and inhale the smoke.
    Toothache: Put pepper into tooth.
    Inward pain: Put a hot plate to where pain is.
    Wounds and Cuts: Get a dog to lick them.
    Liver trouble: Squeeze dandelion so as to extract juice: mix with water and drink
    Measles: Mulled porter to drink.
