    the dead returning in order to see that certain things they had forgotten to do were carried out. It was firmly believed that the dead could return.
    Catholics and non-Catholics are buried in Dungourney graveyard. Catholics in one half, non-Catholics in the other. Headstones more than a century ago were very rare, and great numbers buried there have nothing to mark the place or give a name.
