    An unknown person wrote this rhyme about the stone,
    There is a stone
    And who ever kisses it
    That he never misses
    to grow eloquent.
    The timber that was roofing the castle is now roofing a farmers house in the district. His name is Mr. John Turpin, Daurstown, Co. Cork. The timer is as hard that you could hardly drive a nail in it.
