I noticed when going to Midleton that as far as I could observe this is so. In going along the road with woods at both sides - Castlemary on the right and Rostellan on the left - crows' nests can be see on the Castlemary side and no trees[?] are visible on the left. - There is a large cromlech here. There are two upright stones - with a large flat stone on top. Up to a short time ago this was surrounded by a fence but this has now fallen down. I examined this one day but could find no trace of any writing.
