The hill is in Árd Dearg about a mile from the town of Cloyne.
There is hidden treasure in the walls of Rostellan Castle. It was hidden an old family who lived in the Castle long ago. They hid it because they were afraid the Danes might take it. One night a man went to the castle to find the treasure. As he was picking up the axe to break the wall a dog came in his way and barked. The dog barked so terribly loud that the man got frightened and ran away. After that nobody ever went near the castle at night; so the treasure is still there.
