Then that water is let run out into a bucket and the butter is taken out with two wooden spades and put into a clean pan. The water is pressed out of it with the spades and it is then salted and made up in a roll.The butter-milk is sometimes used for making cakes and sometimes people drink it.
- There are two of the old style of churn or meadar in Ballywilliam – one at Dalys and the other at Scanlans.
