- I live in the townland of Ballybraher. There are sixteen families living in the same townland. There are twelve slated houses and four thatched houses. Lynch and Walsh are the most common surnames. There is only one old woman who is over seventy years and she has no stories.There are no ruins of dwelling houses to be seen around our townland.Long ago many people went to America from our district.There is good land in the townland(continues on next page)
