  1. (continued from previous page)
At the end of the rock is a passage which people think was used in the penal days to escape from Calirmore Castle, but people are afraid to explore it as it is inhabited by badgers.
Near the rock is a path with trees at each side whose branches meet at the top. There is a stream at each side of the path running down towards the rock. At the end of the path is a well with a few steps leading down to it. Near this are the remains of a small bridge. As the bridge is broken down people must across to the other side by stepping stones but this is not difficult for there is only mud under the bridge.
At the other side of the bridge are the ruins of an old castle. People called "Balls" lived there before. Great trees grow near it. Near it also is a lake shaped like a horse-shoe and running into it is a small stream. There is a bridge over this stream + people use it.
