    they used steal them. The graveyard is nearly all level, and it slopes in the direction of the north. There are a great many trees growing there. There are two large tombs, one being empty, but in the other there are bodies. Monuments & crosses are over most of the graves, and these are mainly made of limestone, except for three marble crosses. Some of the headstones are so old and sunk into the earth that no dates can be seen on them, others are overgrown with ivy. There are about twelve graves inside the ruin of the church.
    There is a story told about one of the tombs. A man was buried in one of them and he kept on appearing to his relations and worrying them, until they opened the tomb in the middle of the night, and took the body away to Youghal.
